Why do I Feel Sick after a Massage?

Not feeling well after massage
A massage is supposed to make you feel relaxed, re-energized and renewed. It is meant to make you overcome the tired feeling that has accumulated through the many days of hard work as you carry on with your daily activities.
Immediately after the massage, everyone expects to feel amazing but when you wake up from the massage bed, you may develop an ill feeling that will be characterized by:
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Other flu-like symptoms
A professional massage will lead to some or all of the above side effects that will last for one or two days after the massage. The symptoms will be brought about by the release of toxins in your bloodstream as the massage is ongoing. The lymphatic system is more active after a massage session as it tried to get rid of the excess toxins that are in the body system and if you will not take plenty of water before and after the massage, the sickly feeling could get worse.

All you should ensure is that the massage is carried out by a professional who understands how to proceed with the massage and keeping the negative after effects as minimal as possible.
